From 1 January 2025, the Eurovignette will no longer be valid in Denmark. Trucks weighing 12 tonnes and above in Denmark will have to pay a toll based on the distance they travel and the amount of CO2 they emit into the atmosphere.

How to pay truck tolls on Danish roads
Through the provider
Use the same GNSS satellite equipment as in other European countries, or perhaps an app.
From January 1, 2025, you can choose between three different EETS providers to pay your toll.

Purchase a KmToll e-ticket

Purchase a KmToll electronic ticket if you don’t have an on-board device or it doesn’t work.
This is the ticket you buy when you need to drive a truck weighing 12 tons or more on toll roads in Denmark.
You will need to purchase a KmToll ticket before you start driving on the route.
You will be able to buy a KmToll ticket digitally, wherever you are, on the official KmToll website
Fine for failure to pay tolls on toll roads in Denmark
Both Danish and foreign trucks automatically read their license plates. The license plate is compared with the payment data to verify that the truck has paid for the route using a satellite-based on-board unit (OBE/OBU) or a digital KmToll ticket.
If you have not paid the correct amount of toll, the Danish Road Traffic Authority will issue a fine of DKK 4,500.
If the fine is not paid, the case will be referred to the police.
